I think I may have (finally) found a variety.

The initials don't look exactly like the ones on the Variety Vista site though, so I'm looking for opinions.

Thanks for looking.

Sorry that the pics aren't better, but if you enlarge them I think you should be able to see the initials well enough.

Hi Buddy - I wasn't aware of this variety. I guess I need to do some research first.

Hard to tell. Can you get a shot of the AM and the initials like they post at Vista? Maybe a shot of an RDV002 for comparison? From this distance, the AM looks flat and thicker consistent with RDV003, but the UNITED STATES looks thinner like the RDV002.

Rackster, thanks for looking. The thing that caught my attention was the F in the artist's initials. The vertical line isn't all that vertical and heads toward the monument.

I haven't been able to save a photo from Variety Vista -- much less attach it to one of my pics for a side by side view.

I sure appreciate you taking the time to look. It's entirely possible that the coin is just worn and dinged enough to look like the FG from RDV-002.

I'm afraid these pics still aren't good enough. The FG looks wildly different from one photo to the next.

Again, thanks for looking.

No problem. I hadn't been to that part of the Vista in a long while, so worth the trip. The FG might have been damaged during one or more dressings of the die. But the AM looks consistent with RDV003.

Back to the hunt - you'll find something cool if you keep looking. Good luck!!
