VLDS (Very Late Die State) and machine damage. The coin from a VLDS is reaching the end of it life. The die is a senior in age at this point. Here are a few other examples: The die wear does not happen quickly. It is progressive. The dies show wear like we show lifes' wear on us. It is showing it's wrinkles and wear and tear. So how long does it progress in it different die states?
