I might be seeing things, but this caught my eye. It looks like a loop?

Looks like a small die dent. There are several others in that area on your coin.

Yeah, I saw the abrasions, also the burrs below. But the shafts loop that connects That burr at the top of the "s" was what I thought is strange. Might just be coincidence. Thanks Coop.

I see Die Scratches and what look like Die Chips, the arrow points to a Die Dent or Die Chip. Right above the S maybe I see something that looks somewhat like a S but I really have no way to know for sure. Nice Cent, yummy color looks good maybe Mid to Late Die State. I keep all S mint Cents even for the Memorial.

I'm new, but I have a 1991 Eisenhower silver dollar that looks like maybe a S/S. I can't see as well as in your photo, but here it is. With a better look, I wonder if it's the case I'm seeing on mine. Oh well- hope it adds to the disscussion.

PS: my IKE is in a brown box mint proof case - don't think you're supposed to take those things off to check....?!?

That's just how the S looked back then. There were a couple small raised lumps on the top face of the punch inside the loops of the S. Ad the arrow in the first picture is just a tiny chip.

You can remove it to put it into your collection. Most people would rather buy them in the holder or raw. Depending on your collector.
