The United States Mint will open sales for the 2015 America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin SetTM - Homestead National Monument of America (product code NF5) on March 3 at noon Eastern Standard Time (EST).

The America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin Set - Homestead National Monument of America contains two uncirculated quality quarters--one each from the United States Mint facilities at Philadelphia and Denver--and one proof quarter from the United States Mint at San Francisco. The coins are mounted on a durable plastic card that includes a brief description of the park and the coin design. A certificate of authenticity is printed on the back of the card. The set is priced at $9.95.

These sets have to be one of the biggest profit margins for the U.S. Mint. $9.95 for $.75 in quarters and some pretty basic packaging. It might be worth it if they'd put the S business strike in there too. (Yes, I realize there is a proof coin in there. Even so...)

I agree.

It bothers me that there is no way to get the singles of the S-mint coins. I have to get them from dealers who bought the rolls. Would be nice if I could get them with my other quarter set purchases. Amiright?

I don'tunderstand...why does the coin and the image in the packaging look different. Did they nnotuse the image of the actual place?

They probably did but the pic on the packaging is at a different angle.

And parts of it have clearly been artistically altered if that's what the artist used (door placement shifted left, window added).
