On this day in 2005, I began my coin collecting journey. I started with the State Quarters, and I've gone on to other coins over the past ten years. Its been a hoot! I don't think I could have found another hobby that could have brought me as much pleasure/enjoyment as this one has. And, I've gotta shout out a special thank you to all the folks here at CCF who've helped me with advice, and direction over the years.....you guys are great! |

Ralph, there is a member list.  Go to My CCF Toolbox, then click Member list. This is listed by the number of post. Maybe there could be list of oldest members/ and active post. Just to show respect for those who have been with CCF for so long.  Edited by bpoc1

Thanks guys.
Gotta tell you though.....I've not been around CCF since 2005 - I didn't join/register until January 12, 2006. I plodded along by myself for awhile - kind of like a ship without a rudder, and I have a scad of old, worn, common date coins that I thought were pretty spiffy back until I did find CCF, and came to realize that some of my "treasures" could be, most likely, found in most dealers "junk" boxes. I've no idea just exactly how I came to find CCF, but believe me, its one of the best moves I've ever made since beginning this hobby. There is a wealth of information within the minds of CCF members who are more than willing to share their knowledge by responding courteously to questions asked.....no matter how inane your question seems in your own mind, ask it anyway. As has been said so many time by our members.....the only dumb question is the one that doesn't get asked.

I've only been seriously collecting for 2 years now, 10 years is definitely an accomplishment.
Hope it's as exciting now as it was when you first started.

Absolutely CSOTUS. Still get that thrill.
And, to tell you the truth.....10 years is a mere drop in the bucket compared to some of our members.
