that big sticker on the back would have to go but I could probably deal with the small one on the front even though I don't quite understand the concept yet

Im with Bryan ,,who wants half the reverse of their coins covered up by a gigantic sticker ?

Maybe you could explain the concept of CAC and what exactly its implications are to the coins housed within the plastic ?

Thanks

I was curious about this, so I went to the CAC website to see what CAC certification is. I'm not sure I understand the value of the concept. You have a coin that is slabbed, so that means it's been judged by a TPG as an MS64(for example). Now you send it to another grader & pay another fee so they can decide if it's worthy of them calling it a premium quality MS64. The end result is that you pay twice to get a coin graded. What's the point? Why would you need 2 opinions on the same coin? If it's a PCGS MS64, & you get a CAC sticker, does that mean it's really a MS65? Maybe I'm dense, but I just don't get it.

I think someone is just trying to make a profit from foolishness (wouldn't be the first time) by saying if it has this sticker it is a MS-64.5 or above instead of a MS-64.1

This just seems to me like a way for "CAC" to pad their pockets with some of the money people shell out for grading coins. What are they offering other than a sticker? It doesn't make the coin any more valuable then it does without the sticker there. Its like the perfect "scam" (In my opinion)to pull revenue off the top from people who want slabbed coins and want the "best of the best" slabbed coins. Its nothing more than a marketing ploy in my opinion and a waste of time and money.

(all said above is my opinion and is not a statement of fact)

How will they stop someone from making a fake CAC sticker?

laxmaster, please don't take any of our negative comments personally. Those are very nice coins indeed.

It's a great scam that helps prove what a great scam the TPGs were in the first place. I can only hope that it causes even more confusion than already exists.

The sticker on the back is huge and unattractive and it covers half of a coin. The sticker on the front looks out of place and I bet it can be easily copied. Can't I take the sticker off carefully and put it on another holder?

I doubt it Jim the sticker applies to coins in a slab !

Im still curious about what benefit if any these coins being slabbed and then stickered by this company may have ?

Lets keep the conversation reasonable !

I am thinking he got his free sticker at the coin show-
https://goccf.com/t/20035
I am also think they could at least put the sticker on straight, for what they are charging the sticker should be gold plated.

Doen't look like a sticker to me. It looks like it's in a flip cover with a card insert, attached to the slabbed cover.

Also I can see writing on the back of the sticker/insert in the other pic. Why have writing there if it's stuck on?
Only my observations.

Obviously it was free stickering at coin fest. You think I would pay for this scam?

The back thing is a card in a flip. These were the only 2 acceptable coins that I could have submitted. The other 2 I had planned to get sstickered were not up to par I guess.
I submitted 2 coins and 2 were stickered lol

Man I gotta hope that it don't ! the TPG's have enough collectors chasing plastic now ,,it would be a shame for all of them to have to chase a sticker as well .

with as little info that is available ,such as how much of a value increase should be expected from dealers in the sticker loop when presented with coins which have these PQ stickers ?

I just can't see there being a very large increase to the collector when the coin are sold to one of these dealers, but I can see a considerable increase in costs when buying these stickered coins from a dealer .
