That is definitely not a genuine coin, it even looks like it is composed of antique-finished bronze instead of silver.

Finish aside it does not feel right in the details. Nice unstamped replica though. Is it the size of a real quartee.

to the CCF!

Your coin, while pretty, does not appear to genuine.

I'm sorry.

Here's a picture of a genuine one (Graded MS65, Full Head) that you can compare yours to. (The coin I posted is not mine, unfortunately...)

to the CCF.

Concur with the prior evaluations ... this is not a genuine US mint issued coin.

However it came to be ... it is a token and worth only the value of whatever metallic composition it was struck with.

That exposed breast would have driven them wild if it were a real coin. As it was the exposed breast on the real one caused the mint to cover it up. If that coin were real it would be the most amazing thing I have seen in a while. The detail is so perfect it is sort of nice anyway. What prudes they were in that day. End of the Victorian Era died hard.

I concur with everyone here....It's not real.

However, one question answered just left us with more questions!

1. Who made it?
2. What is it's dimensions?
3. What alloy/composition is it made from?

Etc.,etc., etc.

Now thats a cool peice even if fake(which it is), I would say its a $30 peice in my books.

Ya know its kinda sad that a fake\replica it has more detail thn the real deal.
