Just a quick question. Are lightly circulated NIFC (2002+) Kennedy halves worth anything? I'm beginning to accumulate a decent amount from CRH and it's getting to the point where I may have to sell some. If they do have value, where could I sell them?

NIFC can't seem to find that in the Glossary. I would keep the nicer one's to put in an album as far as the rest unless they have some error on them probably just worth face value and I would use them to get more. That is unless NIFC means something .

Not intended for circulation. They were not released to the public at face value like the prior years were.

My take on this, half dollars have fairly low mintages. But since they are no longer issued for circulation, there really is no shortage of finding examples in mint state.

ebay sellers sure think they are. Good luck finding them at face anywhere except the bank from someone who dumped a bag after cherry picking or broke up a set.

Collectors who can't find them in circulation can't buy them at face from CRHunters. CRHunters who find lots of them can't sell them for more than face.
Funny how it works.

I have sold a few NIFC halves here in the past. 2002 is a commonly found date even for the NIFC coins, the more recent the coin the better the market for it as fewer will be in circulation for collectors to find. There is usually a market for 1987 dated coins and impaired proofs from the 1980's onward. Don't expect to get much for them though. I used to get an average of 75 cents per coin before postage (the impaired proofs varied a bit by date), so its not really worth it unless your selling a bunch of them to someone.

So, basically NIFC is circulating because face value is all it's worth. Reminds me of the 1971S Ike I bought for $10 directly from the mint... what an investment. :)

I have accumulated numerous nifc halves crhunting also. I just put them in a zip lock bag and set to the side. I don't have a whole lot but every box usually nets 5-10

I have sold them in the past to collectors who wanted them for their low mintage. 75 cents apiece. I do a lot less halves than I used to, so I don't find much any more. I have kept several rolls of the best ones.
