I'm just curious as to how many 1 and 2 cent collectors there are on the board. I've decided that I'm going to concentrate on that series.

It seems to be a reasonably challenging task to find them in Choice UNC condition, especially the earlier ones and there is a definite beginning and end to the series. Also I can avoid the NCLT stuff.

Not all the NCLT. They are in the 2006 mint set.

Very true...you can't get away from it. If they only come out with a new set every 25 years, I can just about keep up with that.

I have a collection of them, most are circulated, with a couple nice ones. I am missing 1967, 68, 85, 86 & 91 for the 1c, and 68, 86, 87, 90 & 91 for the 2c.

I have actually completed the 1&2 cents in circulated condition. I believe I even have all the regular NCLTs although I've skipped any that might have been put out in silver.

I recently completed my 1c set, but I still need a couple of 2c, which I hope to buy soon.

I never though to put together a set. I've got a bunch, that's for sure. I'll have to see how far along I am. How do I know which ones were issued for circulation and which ones weren't? (I guess I'll have my answer soon, knowing the poeple on this forum, won't I?)

Topher - the 2006 1 and 2 cents aren't out for circulation as it was struck for the 40th anniversary of the decimal coinage.

Hisa, I didn't realize that they were still minting them, even if they are for collector's sets. I knew that they were long gone before I even moved to Sydney!

Blueczar1512, I still need 1986, 1987, 1990 and 1991.

I think these are all mint set only.

Yep those are the ones I need too - the mint sets

By the way, for those collecting 2c there is a missing SD variety to look out for http://members.optusnet.com.au/~iha...ture/fa4.htm

I have about 800 1 and 2 cent coins... But I have only just come across them from my girlfriend who collected them as a kid... most of them are in good condition with a couple looking brand new.. I think we have at least one from every single year they were produced.. now I just need to know their value before I take them to the bank and just get face value :P

I have a Dansco Album ordered for my 1 and 2 cent pieces.

I have a great collection of those denominations, and it's all thanks to the wonderful Aussie collectors who have sent me coins!
