Two letters in Monticello are completely missing. Isn't that a little unusual?

maybe not Grease Filled Dies cause many devices to be missing. Can you show a picture of the area in question and a full side picture?

Pretty neat! The greasers I've seen usually leave a faint imprint but this one looks clean.

The obverse die is VLDS. The tops of the devices are flowing toward the rim on some of the upper ones.
