You say you wish you had one like that? I say I wish I had one at all! That has to be the only Jefferson nickel I've never had so far. On the other hand as well, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous of your MS66 jefferson!

Nice coin! Congrats on the purchase. Quote:So how did this come about, there has to be some kind of twist to this? How did you get something like that for $33?. That couldn't of been on ebay. The ebay coin is a "Full Step" five cent piece (note the "FS" on the label). Fully-struck Jeffersons can sell for multiples of their less-than-Full-Step counterparts. The $300 price tag for the ebay piece appears to be high, however - for example, there is a PCGS version of the same coin listed at $100 "Buy It Now." There are others listed for a bit more than $100, but far less than $300. All that said, the $33 for the OP's piece seems to be a good deal based on other current ebay listings for a similar NGC non-FS piece.

Commems is exactly right and thanks for the comments-most ms66 without full steps were going for 45$ to just under 100$-shopped around for bit and found this one last week...i was gonna put the link up but it keeps showing my address when I click on it-if you go to 'sold items' you will see even cheaper ms66's than this one

Even if not FS the coin is still lovely and well-bought at $33.

Nice nickel. I need one for my collection too. The thing that I don't understand is why someone would have sent it in for certification given that it doesn't have full steps. They certainly lost money. But, who cares? You were the beneficiary! Congratulations.

So now are you going to try to find a MS-70 next? Or just an old MS-68? Just kidding. Wish that was mine and at that price, great deal.

Yes it is pretty sweet. I know you will enjoy it. I don't see the value on it going anywhere but up.

My VF-20 1950-D cost me only five cents, since I found it in my change years ago... That said, you got a really good deal on this high-end Jefferson! Nice pickup!
