So I was searching around for coin albums and other stuff and I came across a starter pack are these things worth buying or not.

Here is the one I found https://www.colonialacres.com/produ...da-coin-pack

Also found this https://www.colonialacres.com/produ...cials-mega20

Would these be worth buying or not
Thanks

The first link is okay for $20, the second, not really. I mean it's not bad, but if you do have an ebay account, you could find these in better condition for the same price. These large cents are graded VG to F. You could easily find VF and probably EF for 1-2$ a piece for the 1911-1920 dates

For a starter pack, to anyone who has little or no knowledge of numismatics, they may be OK.

Very soon after beginning, the enthusiastic and learning collector's interests will advance well beyond what 'starter packs' usually offer. As such, they are of little interest or value to any, except a beginner.

A starter pack is ususlly an offering by a dealer, of low value junk coins with an interesting variety, and usually salted with two or three low value silver coins and unusual types.

They would just be used for filing spots in a album.
Mostly wanted to know for large cents and nickels due to it takes for ever for me to find a 1950s nickels, and I have no large cents or cents from the 20s/30s.
Thanks
Also does any one have feedback from useing that store/site thinking of getting a album from there

No,

take the $ and go to a coin show or shop, buy coins you can see in hand.

I've had no issues with coins I've purchased from them. That said a better deal is to be had at a show or local dealer. It's your money and if you like it it's up to you.

A good store to deal with,no worries there .As stated above ,you can
find the same coins fairly cheap at a show.

Ok I will probably find dealers or go to flea markets so I know what I pay for instead of a mystery grade or year
Thanks
