I just found the jackpot for halves in my area. Noticed a bank I hadn't tried before, went in and asked. They said I could have as many as I wanted, I was welcome to come back for more, and that they would happily order more for me to search through when they run out. Got myself half a box. 2007-P and a worn but still shining 1971-S (second proof half rescued from circulation). I've found half dollar heaven.

4 boxes:

1. 79S, 77S, and 84S proof. The 84 is dark brown and acetone did nothing for it
2. two 11Ps and two 12ps
3. I found out that acetone works on half dollars like Visine does for humans. The acetone did a great job of "getting the red out" when I used it to rescue two gold plated JFKs from their paint jobs.
4. My camera was nice to me in that it took a decent pic of an 84-D RPM that also surfaced in this bunch of halves:

Interesting experience today. Brought a dozen donuts to my most reliable source (I don't have an account there). The cashier who is deferred to by the other cashiers on issues of half dollar stock would not make eye contact with me over several minutes. The last time she was so pained to see me, she sold me 5 rolls that were 100% 40%. I may try to swing by tomorrow to see if my kindness bought me some access.

Well, I went back today and got 2 rolls. Found 1 68D. That paid for a few donuts all by itself.

I just went through my first of 5 boxes for the week. I was going to wait to post until I had finished all 5 boxes, but I found another first for me, a 2013 Kennedy. Actually I found 86 of them (37 P's and 49 D's). I also found my second Walking Liberty, a 1945-S, and my 3rd Franklin, a 1957-D. I haven't heard much about anyone finding any 2013's so I was surprised when I saw a 2013-D ender when I opened the box.

My bank didn't order again on Monday so I am stuck with $6K to deal with and have to work Saturday again. If they are going to screw up why can't they do it the one week a month I get a Saturday off to dump.

10 boxes.

Barry O Hussein made a second term appearance to go with the half a box I got last summer. A bunch of NIFC, a holed, a Columbian necktie Kennedy, a stickered for my reject collection, and 9 40%ers.

I got tired of all of my 40%ers taking up space so I put them on Craigslist last week. No takers. Then I checked silver yesterday and it was up so I had to raise my price. Then I checked again today and had to raise my price again. Unfortunately no takers even when it was accidentally priced below melt. Hopefully the upswing will continue.

The local coin club rented a van and everyone was carpooling to the ANA show. Just my luck my boss decides he wants to go on vacation to Germany with his family and leave TODAY so I have to miss out.

So I got my first box of halves. No silver, but 5 NIFC ones (all 2007-2009). Got another box and hoping it's a better one.

Through with the second box, and even less in it. Just a 2008-P.

I'll find some silver yet, though. I know it.

4 boxes of halves.

A 1982 no FG polished of seriff, 1 plugged hole, and a few NIFC.

My Friday pick up bank also forgot to order this week.

I had a pretty good week... still 3 more boxes to search but I'm sitting at 31 90% (including 7 bens) and 25 40% out of 8 boxes.

i guess the trick to finding more is ordering more at once? I've been doing a box every tuesday/thursday and getting maybe one 40%..

10 rolls, only one keeper.

But it was a 1964. No complaints.
