OK.
Bank didn't order my 6 boxes on Monday. Yesterday I go to my new bank to get 2 boxes. Open the first box up and there's a Franklin ender. Turns out there was another Franklin ender on the bottom of another roll. I start unwrapping an all of the Franklins keep popping up. Open the second box and get a Franklin and a 1964.
So today I set my alarm for 8 o'clock because I don't have any coin sitting in my desk to go through and don't have to get their early. The alarm goes off, I look at the clock on the wall and the minute hand is at 12 (as in 8 o'clock ish) so I take a shower and get on the freeway and the ramp isn't metered and traffic isn't gridlocked. I think "Hey, maybe it's a holiday or something." I get to work at 30 after and the other guys truck isn't there and he isn't there waiting for me to open. Oh well I think, he must be running late. I go upstairs to the break room and the clock on the microwave says 6:33. That can't be right must have been a power outage. I look at my watch and dangit it's 6:30. I have no coin to go through, I have nothing to do for 2 1/2 hours, so I decide I'll go to Walmart and get some oil and change the oil on my bike then to kill some time. I ride to Walmart, there's some cars at the front of the parking lot, I go up and the doors are locked. They don't open til 7 and it's only 6:45. Double dangit. And to make me mad more all of the employees take up all of the close parking spots. Back when I worked retail if they caught you parking up front you got written up. If the store manager actually cared at Walmart all he would have to do is look in the parking lot at 6:45 and catch all of them. That's the problem nowadays, no one cares or is too scared to hurt someones feelings by yelling at them for messing up.
Anyways I have to ride back to work and work on a mower I've jacking with for the last 2 days to try to hustle up some money. 45 minutes later it still doesn't work right. The day just keeps getting worse. Then I check online and I didn't win the powerball jackpot. GREAT way to start a day.
I get a call at 10 from the bank that my coin is there and I need to pick it up now. The teller said I have 6 and I said ok. I figure 6 boxes normal order. I get there and she says they are getting audited today and need to get all of the coin out of there because there is no room in the vault. And by the way it's $6K, not 6 boxes. Great. I left my spare cash at home. So now I have to pullout of my home equity line to cover the $2500 difference. And now I have $6K I need to go through and then get rid of in 24 hours because I have 4 more boxes to pick up tomorrow after work and I only have a 1 hour window between 5-6 tomorrow to dump and pickup.
Sorry for the long rant but today sucked.
1 box of nickels yesterday (why couldn't I have saved them for this morning :( )
Some pre1960 and S mints, a 1945D, and a dateless D Buffalo.
2 boxes of halves yesterday.
10 Franklins, 2 1964's, and 3 NIFC.
6 boxes today.
1 box had a 1 1964 reverse ender and a 40% ender which turned out to be a double ender with a 3rd 40%er in the middle. 7 40%ers, 3 1964, a red magic marker, a well worn, a toner, and 3 NIFC.
The other 5 boxes had 1 40%er, some NIFC, a 1982 no FG (that someone marked), a 1982 no FG with polished off seriff, a copper colored one, one with a notch ground out of it, a glitter, a sticker that was ground off (I actually have one of these with the full sticker), and I got a 2013 D Perrys Victory from a guy at work for my album.
And here's my current lowly stash not including todays score and the ones filling the empty holes at the end of my Dansco albums after I sold off my 40%ers last fall and traded my 90%ers for my Barber Half collection and few other numismatic coins. It would normally be double this by this point in the year but it has been brutal here since Christmas.
