Anybody seen the ads for watches where the face is made out of a Walking Liberty half? They destroy the coin in order to do it and I think it should be illegal....if not illegal then immoral....if not immoral than at least shameful!

Bob, you do realize how many Walkers have gone to the smelter over the last 70 years, right? Millions? I don't agree with what they are doing with the watches, but I wear a coin ring made from a Walker. Thousands of coin rings made. One can do whatever they like with pre-65 silver coinage, nothing we can do about it, except hoard them!

good point there fistfulladirt, guess it bothers me that it is so openly visable, melted coins are not. by the way, hope that ring you wear doesn't have the Walker set as the center piece!

I save one of each date/mint in my album, and when new NIFCs are found I'll compare with what's in the album and either fill a hole or replace with a better specimen.

The leftover NIFCs are starting to accumulate here and so far I've held on to them, hoping to trade with other collectors.

I am thinking of throwing them back into the wild.

Just went to talk to an old friend who I found out is a teller at a bank. During our catching up saw she had a CWR of halves and gave her a ten. She was confused but gave them to me. I'm sort of new and don't have all the dates/mints so I found 10 hole fillers (out of 20), and a 2006 which is my newest. No silver but still a good day for me!

Nice Box JACK, not as good as yours but here is my latest:
I Finished boxes 19 through 22.
Box 19 had 1 40% (66).
Box 20 had 2 90% (40-S and a 42).
Box 21 was a skunk.
Box 22 had 1 90% (45)
That is a total of 30 90% (1.36 average per box) and 38 40% (1.73 average per box)
Have more boxes on waiting for me. Will keep you updated. Keep up the hunt !!

Glad to see that Jack, gives me hope that I will soon get a good box. I have popped open 2 of the 4 boxes I picked up this week, got skunked on both of them. Didn't pull a single coin of anything. Hope the other two are better.

Hey all, been busy....how's tricks? Can't believe I stopped reading the forums for a year! No major finds here, just slow trickles. I have noticed a LOT of proofs and NIFC coins....starting to think I should unload some of them, any suggestions?
