JFK Half Dollar Roll Hunters: Silver, Proofs And Other Finds

1 box today. Pulled 2nd Magicians coin with Mexican coin inside.

Ended up opening the roll.

Skunked again this week. Six boxes yielded one 40%.

I did get a 1987P and a 1987D in AU (possibly MS) condition, so I really can't complain too much. Total haul included:

Bank didn't order my 4 boxes this week cause head teller took vacation on Tuesday and of course they place orders Wednesday. Will get them next week. I hope someone in my area doesn't get my potential scores from the same stash I got last week. Got 2 boxes of dimes got 47d, 62d, and 64 all in one box

Just finished up my last four boxes for the week, 1 skunk, I didn't think I was going to reach my goal of 10 pieces of silver this week. This is what is so nice about his hobby, one never knows what will happen. I pulled 3-Franklins, 2-54D and 1-63D, 9-40%fers, 3-67, 2-68 and 4-69's, also 1-78S Clad proof and a nice GEM 89D. Ended up being as great week. Wishing you all the best.

2 Loomis boxes and $90 in CWRs today. The CWRs were a total skunk (the branch had another $90, but after this, I'm passing). For the two Loomis boxes, the first box had 6 NIFC and a 1982 No FG (my first), with the second two more NIFC and an impaired 1974-S Proof. As I went to my dump bank and saw the teller open the box up (there was only about $200 before the teller changed it), my heart sank since the policy here is that they DON'T sell those bags to customers and also the tellers don't open the bags to exchange the coins! There were around five silvers visible (looked to be 90%), a few pennies that made their way in, and the weirdest thing of all was two Mercury dimes, one a 1920!

Oh well, but this shows that there are still lots of great coins to be found hunting! I'm better off eBaying for deals and reselling while taking the pain of losing many lots, and at least you don't have to worry about rising gas prices that way...
