Out of the 25 rolls of 40%'s I have in storage only 1 of them is from 1965. Very tough in comparison to the later 40%'s

As I responded to you on the other forum, its a magician coin, or one half of it. I hear people find them from time to time in boxes, still waiting on my first one.

AGCH; I always check for rotation, and I've found 16 Magician coins so far. One has perfect coin alignment, with JFK on both sides. I can see the seam where it has been cut, but it won't come apart without damaging the coin. I figure someone clued it together to frustrate someone like me.

Thanks, but I wish this had been a Philly minted 1915 (138,000 minted)- Worth a whole lot more than San Fran (1.6 Million minted) for that year! *Not complaining at all however!*

Chuckster, great find! Beautiful Kennedy, really hard to find a toned one. I got my first box from B of A. It was also yellow and white wrapper, String and Sons, but only found one 67. I was surprised I got those wrappers, Wells Fargo has the Brown and White,
After Christmas I may get more from B of A, I do think I will have more luck!

That is an absolutely awesome toned Kennedy. I wonder how that one ended up spent. It seems like it would stand out.

I didn't know clad coins could "tone". I thought that it was just foreign substances on the surface like dirt. As far as silver goes its sulpher that tones them, turning an outermost layer to silver sulfide. Dont tell anyone I told you that though ;) Is there a chemical reaction that goes on with the copper nickel alloy of clad aswell?

Its still a very nice coin whatever it is :)
