Ben Cartwright now that is a great start to a New Year! Nice pictures. Boy getting boxes like that feel so Awesome! The only way one never get a box like that is they give up too soon. Anyone that sticks with this hobby will find that diamond box or two. Just seeing Ben's pictures gets me excited about picking up more boxes. Forrest Gump's mom got that Quote wrong! Life is more like a box of half dollars, one never knows how much silver they may find. Keep Stacking!

I have never gotten boxes like this before, in early Jan I want through 10 boxes for 1 - 40%. These two boxes gave more silver than I ever got in my entire life

Had about $20 of halves in my console and been spending them every now and then. Went to a fast foot joint and paid $3.06 in halves. Kid said "those are some pretty cool coins" so I pulled one out and gave it to him and said, stick it in your pocket. Hope it made his day. And yes, I'm kinda like my Grandpa but Ikes are harder to find than halves!

@Ben - That's usually my find rate. I bet I've done 15-20 boxes and found probably 3 total. I'm in the Detroit metro area and not very good find rate up here. I'm doing more nickels and dollars instead.

Just finished my last 4 boxes for this week all skunks, The only good news about today is when I made the dump I found one more 67 that I missed, so that gives me 20 pieces of silver for the week. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Congrats arby96 on your silver save
I just stopped at a couple of banks looking for some halves and some Ikes.. Didn't find any Ikes. 1 bank had $6 in halves... 1 of which was a 1967 40% silver. The other bank had $70.00.. I got them. I haven't went through them yet . I believe that they have been searched because while I was there Loomis made their delivery and they had two boxes of halves and I asked the teller if I could get some of them and she said we will have to count them first(it was about 15 min before closing time). I'll call them tomorrow and ask about them but I bet that they were order for someone so the ones I bought are probably dumped coins..

Update... Update. I searched those $6.00 in coins I got at the first bank and found a 2011. I searched the $70.00 from the second bank and found a 1968. Either those were un-searched or someone missed that 40 % silver. I started to wait until tomorrow to finish searching these.. I'm glad I didn't wait

Searched a box yesterday, and was skunked for silver, though I did find 8 NIFCs.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

Awesome finds everyone. I finally got 2 cases after a week or two w/o any. Unfortunately both boxes were skunks for silver. Box 1 did have 3 NIFC's (2003 P, 2003 D, & 2010 D). It also had 2 proofs (1982 S & 1987 S). Box 2 was the worst box I have had to date with only a 2003 D NIFC & a 1999 S Proof. The bank accidentally ordered 4 cases instead of just the 2 I ordered so I picked up box #3 + #4 today. Have not opened a roll yet but I will LYK how I did once I get through them. Happy Hunting everyone.

Was dumping halves today and went to dump at a new bank. I have an account there be have never been to that branch. As I was waiting for a teller who had some halves I got talking and before I could ask if they sell bags they mentioned that they have a customer who buys the penny bags. I asked if I could buy bags and they said yes but the halves take a couple years to fill, theirs was about 25% full so it would be a while. I said I would be back next week to fill the bag as I am getting two boxes this coming week. They then checked the bag for me and it was 40% because I had just put $200 into it. but the quarters were full and they already had a full bag of quarters in the vault. I bouight the one from the vault and they are holding the other bag for me for next Saturday! I don't have good vibes about quarters, hard to find any, and I took a quick look and don't see any silvers through the plastic but will search while I watch Golf, and will get the half bag next week!
