Picked up my weekly box of halves today. Opened it up to see this 1964 ender staring straight up at me. Hopefully, the rest of the box is just as good.

I think I hit the jackpot tonight with the 1 box that I did. The ender 1964 was just the beginning. Final Tally: SILVER (1) 1964 (1) 1967 (6) 1968-D (1) 1969 NIFC (1) 1987-D (1) 2004-D (1) 2005-D PROOFS (1) 1776-1976 - S (Clad) (1) 1978-S COMMEMORATIVE (1) 1996 Olympiad Soccer (Clad)

Great box Cougar01 with 9 silvers. I have two boxes that I didn't search. I bought them for my brother. I'm going on a road trip this week-end and take them to him for him to search. It's hard for him to order boxes where he lives..

Thank pan4au! That, definitely, was my best box so far. Silver is always great to find, but the biggest surprise for me was the 1996 Commemorative Olympic Soccer half. In clad, the US Mint only produced 52,836 of those....compared to 112,412 minted in Silver Proof.
A few weeks back I found a 1982 George Washington Commemorative half in Silver Proof in a CWR along with what appeared to be uncirculated silver halves 1966-1969. Someone is dumping their collection.
Good Luck with your boxes this weekend!

Nice box Cougar. The 1987 is a cool find also. I've only found about 5 of them after about 50 boxes.

Did two boxes of halves tonight and found two 1987-S and this 2003-D gold plated half. Any information on this would be appreciated. Thanks

Quite common for "gold plated" Kennedy's and Ikes. I remember as a kid back in the '70's having a "gold plated" Wheat cent. These were done by third party companies as a sales / marketing gimmick. Just surprised to see that they still continue on to today. Here is a website that I quickly found. I'm sure there are others that also offer "gold plating": https://www.merrickmint.com/24k-gol...ee-bogo.html
