I ended up 1-90% silver and 16-40% slivers. 9 proofs.. a couple that I'll probably won't keep. Silver is always great to find, but the biggest surprise for me was the 1996 Commemorative Olympic Soccer half. In clad, the US Mint only produced 52,836 of those....compared to 112,412 minted in Silver Proof. A few weeks back I found a 1982 George Washington Commemorative half in Silver Proof in a CWR along with what appeared to be uncirculated silver halves 1966-1969. Someone is dumping their collection. Cougar01 New Member United States 22 Posts	Posted 04/13/2018 10:07 pm Quite common for "gold plated" Kennedy's and Ikes. I remember as a kid back in the '70's having a "gold plated" Wheat cent. These were done by third party companies as a sales / marketing gimmick. Just surprised to see that they still continue on to today. Here is a website that I quickly found.
