AG - 2 silver in $50 is really impressive. Some people have gone through countless boxes without getting one!

LizzyJo: Ditto to what Ratman has said. I would also say get to know the tellers of the banks that you are visiting. They can be your biggest friends when looking for halves. I have a standing order with Wells Fargo for 3 boxes of halves a week.
With that said, 2 boxes searched last night produced 2 40% silvers and a 80 proof

Funny thing is these bags just started showing up. I had a standing order with this bank for two boxes and then one week 2 1k bags started showing up. While it hasnt been consistant on producing silver the bags to me are the way to go. I have gotten a few skunk bags (plastic) that I traced back to some monster hunters 100 mile away from me but the good ones mostly have come in canvas bags. The nice thing is you dont have to shuck the paper to see what you got. Just grab a handful and get to sorting.

Did a Brink's box just a few hours ago. Kindly gave me a '64-D and an '04-D mixed up amongst the about two rolls of marked coin, I'd estimate. That was nice. I was starting to think I should just switch to collecting marked coin, I'd do real good, then.  |

I ruined my "dump bank" situation !...... A few weeks back I started having them order for me too. They got tired of seeing me, and the manager had "a talk" with me explaining how they are charged "a rolling fee", etc. etc. etc.
I have a Company account with them.....a personal checking, and a personal savings account....doesn't matter I guess.
Of the three branches in town, I use the main bank (SBD's are there) for ordering and the one close to me for dumping.....Now this bank doesn't want to do either without charging me ! (didn't say how much...)
The manager was going to let me do one final order (box of halves and a box of nickels) and they were to come in on Wednesday.....Well, they haven't come in....and now I'm thinking that they never ordered them.
I'm so ticked at myself for going a little "hog wild" over the past few weeks !
NOW I RUINED IT !

1 more box and its done for this week.
Picked up 2- $50.00 bags of Lincoln Cents today (From coin counting machine)
Hopefully I'll find something good in these 2 bags over the week-end!

Just did a Brinks box from a TD outside of Philadelphia--3 40%s. I have a PNC box for tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone for the advice on the albums.
After searching a few rolls a week for several months and coming up empty, I hit pay-dirt today: a 1954 Franklin, my first Franklin ever!

Just went through the PNC box--only one 40% whereas my last was 90!. I got to find some of those customer wrapped rolls but where!

1 box final total for this week: 3 Walkers 1 Franklin 2 40%ers And 1- CONECA 1972P DDO-001!  Pays to look for other things besides only Silver! (IMHO)      |
