1970 and 1987 were only issued in sets. 2002-2009 were sold by the mint by rolls or bags. It seems that alot of people who purchased them put them into circulation. I've found alot of them (especially 2002,03,05). I haven't found any 2004 or 2009 yet.

I bet there is a ticked off roll searcher around my neck of the woods. He is obviously buying boxes somewhere! I hit 2 different branches of the same bank today who recently took in almost $1000.00 in halves. All were dated 1990D (BU). I know I'd be peeved if my boxes were solid date clads!

The mint is ripping a lot of people off with these bags, commems, etc. Most of it ends up being worth much less than their selling price.09

I got $80.00 of customer rolled halves today and got one 40% - 1968D. I let my 9 year old son do the searching. He was so excited to find it. He looked at the face of every coin with his magnifying glass trying to find something.

Talk about being in the right place at the right time!

Went to cash in my coins at the coin counting machine this morning and a person was in front of me using it- they cashed out and I proceeded to dump my coins into the machine- totalled out and realized it was way short.
The teller opened the machine to find out what happened and the person before me had deposited "large coins "and it jammed up the hopper.
He/She had also been short-changed.

As they were pulling the coins out I saw what else was jamming the machine and politely asked the other person if they would mind if I bought all of these "large" coins from them.

Are you a collector , I was asked and I said yes I was.
"OK!- no problem I'll sell them to you."

Thank you very very much was my response!

Jack-Pot!

Did they let you have them for face? Or did the other customer charge you premium?

Wow chuckster thats amazing! Did you pay face for them?

My day at the coin machine wasnt that eventful but I did swing by a bank on the way that has produced silver in the past. Got 16 40's from $40 customer rolls.

Face value, one for one! :)

Since they jammed the coin machine, they were going to sell them to the teller over the window after the teller pulled them all out, so I figured I had nothing to loose but to ask if I could please buy them instead and He/She said OK! as they still belonged to Him/Her and not the bank since the machine rejected them!

I paid $17.00 for the 15 Morgans,1 Peace dollar and 1-1990 Unc Silver Eagle and $32.00 for the 32 Ike's

Total purchase was $49.00 Currency for $49.00 in coins!

*Also got the even exchange of 1 clad for 1 Silver Half from the Bank!

17- 90% er's for 17 Clads- Fair Exchange right? (LOL)
