My order got messed up for today- no boxes came in, but they had 37 bank rolls and 3 customer wrapped rolls available, so I purchased them instead.

No Silver in any of the rolls.

1- 1974D- in beautiful MS65+ Grade ( Customer Wrapped Roll)
1- 1998S Proof (From Bank Wrapped Roll)

*1- 1982P No FG Initials (Customer wrapped roll)

I posted pics of the 82 No FG on the Error/Variety Forum.

4 boxes due in later this week.

at least you got some - my bank just told me they could not get them out since it was after 4 pm. I wish the teller had told my wife that this morning when she called, so I could have made arrangements to be there earlier.

So now I gotta sit here with nothing to do...grrrrrrrrrr

of course, this cements the reality that I will get skunked on these.

Picked up $22 loose at the bank in the grocery store and finally found my first silver half from circulation. It's a beat up '66 but it's still silver!

Thought I would take a chance today and call in to a bank to ask if Raymond the merchant teller was there. He has told me he goes though all the halves for his brother who is a collector. While I appreciated his honesty, I know that I have got a pretty good amount of silver from that bank before. As luck would have it he wasnt in today so I jaunted on down there and they had $320.00 in customer rolls that was brought in by a man that said they were from his collection. I figured Raymond may have already seen these but I bought them anyway. I did find 2 40% and a 1992 s clad proof. Oh well that's okay...
I do have a box coming from Chase bank ( first one from there.)Went to Wells Fargo and got 8 Ikes (no silver) but the teller informed me the lady who brought these in will bring in 100 more "large dollars" and took my number down and will call me. I'll sure check them out!

Picked up 3 boxes from Wells yesterday, got thru two of them last night.

Box 1 - 1 '66 and 3 '67
Box 2 - 2 '67 and 2 '68

After being skunked on 3 boxes last week pulling 8 silvers was like hitting the jackpot. Oh to have the "right place right time" luck like Chuckster last week and Jim_Maine from some time ago. I'm still shocked with some of the pulls that us hunters get...

Who is next? I'm guessing Ratman is due...

I'm way overdue for a motherlode. I've never had one! I'm dumping today and picking up so maybe I'll find old man Rafferty stuffing Morgans into the coin hopper like Chuckster did!

I did find 2 40%

Tls867, that's odd. If it's from the guy's collection, how does he let 2 40%-ers go? Must have been an inheritance or some such thing. Don't mind me, it's just my analytical mind, I just like to figure these things out. Drives me half crazy sometimes...

Speaking of "half crazy," HalfCrazy, whenever things hit a little bit of a lull around here...I always wonder the same thing!

Hello to all! It has been a while since I roll search but after reading all of your recent posts, I decided to go to a bank I had only been to once before (with the hopes of finding Morgan dollars j/k congrats by the way!), to my surprise one of the tellers is a girl that I went to high school with (Im 24). I established a good conversation and I asked her for halves and she said "I have $50 and some loose ones", some old man brought them in last week" (at this point I feared it was a dump bank) I glanced over to her tray and WOW! she had 7 and 5 of them were silver, I took that as a sign and took what was in the tray and the $50. Here is what the rolls looked like once I unrolled them......
JFK-Half-Dollar-Roll-Hunters:-Silver,-Proofs-And-Other-Finds
total searched $53.50
total face value of silver found 37.50
40%ers-75
I did not find anything above 1972 and no morgans
but I guess 75 silvers is not bad!

I have a bank near me that you guys would love. They order roughly 80 boxes a week and when you search through the halves you don't need to re-roll them or bring them to a machine, they give you bags and you just exchange the bags of halves you bring in for new boxes and they ship out the bags you bring in. Simple as that.

I'm certainly overdue for a nice pick up...but today wasn't it. Grabbed 17 rolls and some loose from 2 different banks today. Garbage. But did pick up $60.00 in Ikes. No silver there either. I did get one holed 40% a couple of days ago. Been slim pickings lately.
