Speaking of slim pickings...here's my totals for today:

2 boxes of halves.......no silver whatsoever.

i did find 7 different nifc coins, 2 gold plated coins and one '72-p that has a deep prflike appearance on the obverse. Not sure if it was polished or what happened to it. I ought to post a pic.

I ordered another 2 boxes from them and I am waiting on $1000 worth that I ordered from another bank. It should have been in today but they didn't call. Somebody is searching around here somewhere - found 4 diff types/colors of marks on halves on about 15% of the halves.

What is interesting is that I noticed that I could have completed about 2/3 of the 1971 to 2006 set in au/bu coins.

I am from southern. Early last year for the first few months I used to get 20-35 boxes a week. Now I just get 20 boxes a week and I have never missed a week of not getting boxes.
From 5 boxes today I pulled:
1990 proof, 2001 proof, 2001 silver proof (very dirty)
2 - 90% (1945 and a au toned a shade of purple on the rim a 1953 Washington Carver)
6 - 40%

skunked 1 1/2 boxes so far. while picking up my boxes today the manager told me they can't order me boxes anymore in the future.

I guess I'll have to find another bank. really stinks cause it was close to my house!

One 40% silver.......one 2004 P......and a nice BU quality '98 D.
Compared to the last two boxes.....This one sucked !
I know it could be worse, and even "continually" worse..(been there done that)...so I'm NOT complaining ! .....

CoinMania - thats insane! Wow! Kudos for you on your drive to roll hunt. I have thought about doing a 20 box weekend but the thought of returning them all is a killer...

parkquarters:

N.I.F.C . means " Not Issued For Circulation" *Reference: bottom of Pg 203/204 Kennedy half dollars, 2009 RedBook.

I stopped saving them, but others on the forum still do and I'm sure they'll be along shortly to give you a better explanation of what NIFC'S are.

2 box total today:

1- 90%er a 53P Franklin
5- 40 %er's.

$11.50 from one bank today yielded 1-90% and 1-40%. What is strange was the 90% was handed to me in a group of 3 halves from a teller who just a couple of weeks ago wouldn't give me a 90% because she KNEW it was silver!
