Nice hauls there fellas. SDcoinguy - I take the non-silvers and dump them at another bank. I only do one box per week but would like to do more if I can get to it. I'm hoarding all my silver - haven't sold any yet. I don't have nearly as much as some of these guys do though!
My box from yesterday yielded my 3rd comemorative:
1982 George Washington 250th birth anniversary proof
4 40%
1963 Benny
and a bicentenial silver 40% (my first one of these)

Silver is taking a hit the past few days!
$15.55 ozt. right now it's down .82 cents ozt. from opening today. (NY Spot)
*Might have to hold back on selling any rolls this week until it starts another upswing*

Well, silver is off a bit lately, but that is mostly because the US dollar has been getting a bit stronger of late which pushes down prices of metals.

WOW! Incredible JFK roll find! Can't wait to send this in to ANACS or somebody for grading. In the meantime, can anyone give me an idea on how this would shake out grading wise? Should command a high premium (lol). thinking about putting it on ebay but I might get better results through Heritage, gimme advice please!   |

I grabbed all the halves ($26.50) from the two local banks today and found: 3 - 1967 3 - 1968 4 - 1969 The 69's have some sort of glue and paper on the reverse probably from the album they were pulled from. Here they are:  It's a bad picture but you can see they still have lots of luster and almost no wear marks. Too bad for the glue  |

I'd try searching for some type of glue remover that won't damage the coins - I'm sure someone on this board will have a suggestion. First thing that comes to my mind is goo-gone - but there is probably something abrasive about it.
Nice find though - congrats.

Cashed out at the scrapyard today on #2 copper and got some "folding" money.
Stopped by my local bank. They had 12 rolls of halfs. Two marked with sharpie and the other 10 rolls were in different wrappers. You guessed it...nothing in the marked rolls. The other rolls...bingo! twenty-one 40%, mixed from all five years plus a 91-S proof, a 2005-D NIFC and a 1971 un peso mexican piece of junk. Have not looked for oddities yet, just yanked the silver. Saw a few 82 dated coins so maybe a no FG coin? Will post a pick later...
Now if I can just get some 90% in rolls.
Sparhawk soak them things in hot water. Maybe its water based glue like elmers or craft glue or try hydrogen peroxide warmed up in the microwave for 20 seconds. Dip a coin in afterwards and see what it does.

I've used goo gone to remove glue. I wouldn't use it on something in my
collection but for bullion I would.
Picked up 5 rolls today and got a 90% and a 40%.

picked up one roll and $11 in loose halves at the bank again today, two 68 -d's in the loose stuff, the roll was 100% 76 bicentenials!
