Quote: Thanks - yeah, I'm not taking him to dinner. Just going to see if he has anything. I told him I'm collecting and would've asked for nickels too had he not had so many halves. He said he used to collect football cards - so he gets the hobby aspect of it. Hopefully he doesn't switch to coin collecting! LOL! But you get the picture. Good luck!

Nice score afcop13!! I'm still waiting for my dream haul to come but with my busy life I can't get to many banks these days. I picked up my usual weekly box today and cracked it open. There was a 1963 Benny staring at me so I know I didn't get skunked!!

I had a little luck today. Was on my way to pick up some nickels and decided to hit a bank that I had gotten some silver from almost a year ago (nothing since). She said she had $200.00 worth of halves. Got 66- 40%. They were older wrappers with very old masking tape and scotch tape failing to keep alot of them closed. Most of the rolls were dated 1971 and 1972. But the ones with silver were dated 1967,1968, 1968&1969 and mixed). It's been awhile since I got that much silver in one shot!

Couldn't find any large quantities of halves - tried a new bank and scored 10 strings rolls. Unfortunately, they were duds - no silver and no NIFC. Did fill my second to last pre-2001 hole though.

with Motos about those old soft wrappers! More than likely will produce some good things!
