Back in the summer we had a standing order of two boxes a week from the head teller at our bank and after about six or seven weeks of that the big brains over there put a stop to it. Do you know why? They claimed it looked like money laundering!
Sounds like the Mental Giants at SunTrust!

Slickeast, awsome score. I assume its a clear plastic bag if its a coin lock bag. I tell you, I would take rejected bags like that any day of the week. I have gotten clear plastic bags in the past, they were skunks and I was able to trace it back to another silver searcher 100 miles from me. Funny thing was he dumps to another carrier than the one I picked up with.

box last week was skunk and I picked another one up this week and was discouraged after 10 rolls. But then I pulled a coin which appeared to have the silver shine, to my amazement a 70-D! I thought these were really rare? have not gone through the other 40 rolls

Ding ding ding! We have a winner! Congrats!!

Road tripped to a small town and hit 3 banks. $500 (a 67 is on the end of one roll)in bank rolled all musky smelling like they have been rolled for some time still need to look thru, $300 from a fed box from another bank and took out 3 40%, and $200 loose from a bank with a goose egg on those.

Chomping at the bit to dig in those old rolls that have been around for awhile...

Starman - congrats on the 70-D. I relieved a teller of one of those a few months ago! They are very rare since they were not made for circulation. Even circulated they are worth well above their silver value.

Starman:

Congrats,
on the 1970D! -Extremely hard coin to find in circulation , like Gothic Florin said, only made in Mint Sets.

*I ended up buying a 1970 Mint Set (also had a real nice 70 S/S RPM- 001 ) but I wanted that 70D JFK also!

Well I made it thru the smelling old rolls I picked up from a bank yesterday and found the following:
1 - 68
4 - 67
1 - 69
1 - 59 Benny in mint state. Full bell lines, unbelievable coin...
1 - 45 Walker in decent condition. My first Walker!
1 - 57 (Dont know what the %^&*& it is?) Obverse has a picture of a gentleman with a receeding hair line and is has "Francisco Franco Caudillo De Espana Por La G.De Dios" Reverse it appears to be an eagle and says "50 ITAS or PTAS"

I wish I could post a pick of it. Based off the description does anyone know what that is? Is it silver?

I know its not the 40+ coins that some of you have pulled but it was a lot of fun with this $500 worth.

Happy Hunting!

The coin is date 1957.

Forgot to mention, the Benny has full lines on the rim of the bell.
