That sounds like a full bag from a Coinstar or a bank counting machine, with the rejector coin in there; you intercepted it before they sent it off.

My supply bank switched from boxes to canvas bags a few months ago. There are distinctly marked bags that I believe come off of a coin counter that are usually loaded with silver. Always full of garbage and junk you would expect to find in coin counter bags. I get these about 40% of the time. The other bags they get are dumps from another silver searcher about 100 miles from me. I have been able to confirm that I am getting his dumps from time to time.

is it a good idea to "sk" the tellers if they have any canvas bags?

Yea, I have a standing order.

Customer wrapped have always been better to me if you can find them. Where I am there is a lot of competition and its hard to get your hands on them.

I picked up a $1000 bag of halves.

227 40%

2 90%

It would be nice to get bags like this every time.

AGCoinHunter, you're a machine!

PS: Want to hear something funny? This is a true story. Back in the summer we had a standing order of two boxes a week from the head teller at our bank and after about six or seven weeks of that the big brains over there put a stop to it. Do you know why? They claimed it looked like money laundering! Hell, brainstorm time, we're just recirculating the rejected halves, just dumping them someplace else!!

Holy ship(?), I was typing, I missed this! And from whence pray-tell did your bag come from?

PS: You better tell us. I think you just gave poor Gothic a stroke! Gothic, pal, you OK there?

I have one bank that has figured out how to order loose halves for me. It was a Coin Lok bag. The odd thing was the word "REFUSED" was wrote on the top in red ink. This is almost half of what I found total in 2009.
