Chuckster - I understand where you're coming from. I wouldn't divulge a great source either. The irony is that I asked you a few hours ago, and then I went to a bank with a counting machine, and low and behold they have $1000 bags. I may have to start making some calls to see if they are willing to sell one to me. The teller said that they hardly ever have to change the half dollar bag. Of course, my $500 put them over the top! While they were changing the bag I had to listen to some old bag complaing about having to wating 30 minutes in line to deposit a cheque. I felt like telling her to learn how to use an ATM or more importantly, to e-file her taxes (it was a Federal gov refund).

I WISH the banks around here would use coin counting machines. Although I have got my box searching down to a science more a less its a pain the butt!

Speaking of box has anyone else noticed the change in the Brinks boxes actual box? The ones I was getting before had purple graphics and a simple lid. The one I got today had black graphics and a real dynamic lid with instructions on the inside on how to open the roll. Had anyone else been getting the purple and now the black?

$200 in Strings rolls from a bank other than my usual and I finally hit some silver: 2 40%. Whoopie!

No NIFC or proofs: Is the 2001P considered NIFC? RedBook says it is but the mintage seems high. I have everything before that except the 87's of course and the only thing I have after 2000 is 2001D and both 2005s.

I've seen quite a few of these even marked-up with sharpies. People keep neglecting them like that and one day quality examples are going to be hard to find. By contrast, I've never seen a marked-up 2002 and up. Just something you might think about...

Gothic Florin;

Thanks!

Good luck!- Hope you can get them to sell you bags!

* I don't know if you search cents, but if you can, try to buy one or two $50.00 bags of cents also.

I've found some fantastic finds in bags (in addition to the usual Neff & Son rolls that I purchase)

Some $50.00 bag finds were:
a 1873 close 3 Indian Head cent
a 1909 VDB Lincoln
1 of the 2- 1999 WAM's -one from a roll, the other was from a bag.
(My Avatar) A beautiful MS grade 1994P DDR-001 LMC. etc.

Randolphsky95,
its hard to tell, but does the word(s) "specimen" seem like someone may have stamped it there, or does it look like it may have been minted with it?( almost looks like it from the photo) If the latter I would have it seriously checked out!

It is definitely a "specimen" and not a US Mint product.

I do not know much, but I like to think that I know my Eisenhower dollars well enough.
