I got some customer rolls, $40.00 worth and found 1-1960 Ben,1 64
& 4 40%'s. Thats my first Ben in a while!
Went to another bank and they had $23.00 Ikes, no silver but I have been on a website called "the Ike Group" ( found when I was trying to research Randolphskys Specimen) they have more varieties there and so I'll check my Ikes for 'em.

Did my first 2 boxes today, and I think I did pretty good

1 - 90%
8 - 40%
2 - 2000 Proofs
4 - NIFC(one being a 2009)

The only thing is that all but one proof came from the first box, and only the one proof from the second. I think I will be ordering more.

Not intended for circulation.

I'm picking up my first $500 bag order of halves tomorrow. I've only done customer wrapped to this point, and had great success, finding 167 - 90% and 33 - 40% so far this year.

I'll keep asking for customer wrapped and loose too, but now have a standing order for a $500 bag weekly at my bank.

SDcoinguy - Unless you really need the cash, I would hold the 40% silver. Also, it pays to call around when selling. I sold some about a month ago and I couldn't believe the difference in buy prices dealers/refineries were willing to pay. The lowest was 2X face from one dealer, but I settled on 4.8X face from a refinery. You could probably do better than 2X face online. Either way, shop around first.

SDcoinGuy:

(IMHO) I would not sell to ANYONE offering me 2x's face for 40%er's.

You are getting the short end of the stick for sure!

I'd buy all the 40%er's there are for that price and I can turn around and sell them on ebay or ebay or whatever you want to call them for at least DOUBLE that!

*I just sold 3 rolls (60) coins of 40%ER's over the week-end and got $137.00 gross, which averages out to $2.29 a coin and even after the fee's it's still over $2.00 a coin (4X's face), which is still double what your coin shop/dealer is offering you at $1.00 a coin.

Silver Eagle makes an excellent point also!

Shop around, you can do much better than 1x's face.

thanks cheuckster,

i will give ebay another try. the only reason I am hesistant is that I previously sold 19 halves for $50 including shipping. so after all the fees, ebay, paypal, it was only 3-5 more bucks than the other dealer was going to give me at the time.

side note: I found a 1983 proof, its in decent shape, but it looks thicker and feels 'lighter'? not sure. I dont think its fake.. but can anyone back me up on that?

Mdh157 I have around 7-8 rolls worth of found proofs. I would probably have a lot more if I looked at every coin I get. When I open a roll I just search the sides of the coins.
