My bank forgot to order my $500 box this week. I was not happy to say the least. I took a box of cents from them (N.F. String) and then went over to TD Bank and picked up a Brinks box of cents also. I'll post the finds on the penny searching thread.

Hybes Please! Quote: Ah, explaining it to the wife In my case "explaining it to the husband!" It wasn't until I showed him $900.00 in cash that he "understood" (He's a very visual person)

Thanks tls867, I went through a bank box today and got skunked... But they did have one Cust. roll with a '68. How do you all get your boxes/ what do they look like. This was my first time with boxes and pulled no silver out of $1000 is that normal?

Tls867, the way I see it, they know we're crazy. The challenge is to convince them we're crazy as a fox.

413 40%! That is very rare find.
Mentioned on the previous page, I have also been watching the price of silver climb steadily the last few days. No matter how high it goes, it can still be tough for me to part with silver. I have my usual 2 boxes coming tomorrow - hopefully there will be a few silvers in each.

Well...I don't get to roll search down here in Mexico, but every now and then I run across a good deal...so, the other day I asked an street vendor with lots of JUNK if she had any old coins...she popped out a junk 5 cent from the early 1900's and a nice shiny 1943 walker...and a asking price of $15!....after some negotiation, I picked it up for $5. Sorry, but that's as close as I get to roll searching! :( I did get to look though someone's spare change from the states and found a 1953-D Wheat cent!!

Thats where my wife went. She Graduated in 2002.
I bought $50 at Chase bank in Cascade. I found about 85% of it was silver so I went back and bought them out. I will probally just keep it because I am fairly positive the dollar is going to fail. My parents have a vault/safe like structue so I will just keep what I find there. I am going to continue to be diligent with my research and set a price point to sell at. I am just not sure if that is going to be $30/oz or $300/oz. Just depends on what my gut tells me.
