I use coin machines.
NO bank that I deal with when returning/dumping coins etc. wants wrapped rolls.
The tellers have to break them open and dump them into the coin machines anyway, so they all want you to use the coin machines.

That's interesting chuckster because I tried to dump about $80 in loose halves at a B of A and they gave me wrappers and told me I had to roll them. I also had $9 in loose pennies that I had to roll up for them. Yeah, that was really fun to stand there in the bank rolling coins up getting strange looks.

at b of a you have to ask for the merchant coin bags. put as much as you want in there, mutliple types, as long as its not breaking 50lbs or so... no rolling involed. as for my half dumps. I have re-rolled and they were just fine with that.. ch ASE |

I don't use B of A for any of my banking needs so I don't know their policy.
But if B of A has a coin counting machine and they wanted you to wrap $80.00 in Half's, that sounds a little nuts to me!

All the Chase Banks by me have no coin counting machines, so I don't bother to dump with them.

2 Box Total today; String & Son, Yellow & White Wrappers. 2- 90%er's- a 1960P Franklin and a 64P JFK. 7- 40%er's One of the 7 40%er's was my first 1970D!   |

Are String and Sons boxes marked with their name or does the white and yellow wrappers mean that they come from them?
I've had the long flat boxes with white and yellow wrappers but no name on the box.

No, I don't believe the outside of the box is marked String & Son etc.
Sometimes they have a 4 digit employee inspector # stamped on the outside.
Each individual roll is wrapped with yellow/white paper and has the following info printed on the wrapper:
N.F. String & Son, Inc.
Harrisburg, PA, U.S.A.

Those are the boxes I use. Also Chuckster since I dump at TD Bank most of the time and those go to Brinks, you may be getting some of my dump coins if you get Brinks boxes.

i picked up $8 bucks worth from teller trays over the past 2 days and managed to score 9 40%'s
Nice find on that 70d chuckster, once I find one of those myself and the 2010's ill have completed the business strikes

The CPA in me requires that I correct your statement, this would actually be LIFO where the Last coins In (most recently used) are the First ones Out. The take the last box put on the pile off when they need to ship one out. Okay...end of accounting class.  Edited by DylansDad
