Picked up one box of Feds today.....just got done searching them. S.K.U.N.K.E.D. !!Not one single NIFC
Not one single Proof
Not one single 40%er
Not one single 90%er
Not one single BU
No Franklin
No WalkersI have one more box due in by Thurs. or Fri.....If I'm skunked on that one.....I might be taking a break from them for awhile....  |

Today I went to a bank and asked for half dollars. The teller said they had $100 face in the vault. I bought 5 rolls of halves and in the fourth one I found a 1960-D Franklin. I think I will go back tomorrow and buy the other 5. Stay tuned.

I've avoided halves for a couple of weeks, but popped into a bank I'm not a member of today to ask for halves. They had $40, so I bought them. FINALLY - more silver.
12 - 40%ers.....all 67, 68 and 69's.

Just completed my first box. I got absolutely NOTHING!. Hopefully the second box will be better. The bank will only order them in $1000 increments for me, but they will let me trade my dumps for new boxes.

Went back to the same bank today to buy the other 5 rolls, but I found nothing. But hey, it was great to find a Ben in a loose roll after getting skunked on 3 boxes. I am going back to this bank in a few days when they get more rolls in. I have had the best luck finding silver from their rolls and boxes.

I got to the point where boxes/bags were just a waste of time and a huge effort to dump. For now anyway - I'm sticking with customer rolled and loose. In the last $106.50 of that I've pulled 18 40% and 2 90%.
I think we'll see another round of people cashing in coins this summer when gas hit $4 and the economy slumbers again.

3 box total today: 1 90%er- 64P JFK 8- 40%er's *1 1982P No FG Initials* (Second one of these I've found in the past year.)* This one is beat up compared to my first one, but it's still a nice find!   Die Marker- Bottom of 1 in the date has no base on left and right.   |

The best part is that I do not even have an account at that bank! Thanks for the advice and I already have a few other banks lined up.
