Here is a pic of a normal JFK with the FG Initials.

No FG initials on my coin that I can see and I put this one under 15x Mag.

Where do you think you see any FG initials?

Where do you guys even find customer wrapped rolls? Every bank in my area has a coin counter unfortunately. I usually do well with loose coins, but they are few and far between - boxes usually have 6-8 different marks on coins so I rarely find anything.

Chukester,
Thanks for the tutorial. I came across a few (10 or so) and will through them later. The one I found in the customer roll is in excellent condition. The other I have looks like your one. I have one where the FG has been removed and I am keeping it as a "tampered" coin for future reference.
The local coin dealer explained how it was tampered with, but it's still beyond me.
Peace

Ceylon62:

Here is another die marker for the 82P no FG.

Check your coins to the left of the letter are in Liberty on the obverse.

There should be a big die scratch/gouge going almost from the rim on a diagonal to the middle of the R.

Here are pics of this area on both of my 82P- No FG's.

3 box total today:

90%er's : 2- A 1917P Walker (Well worn, I can only see the last 2 digits in the date) and a 64P JFK.

40 %er's- 10

*1- 1972P 1DO-001 JFK (Coneca).

This is the 4th one I've found since the beginning of the year and this one has no environmental damage on it like the other 3 do!

*I posted pics over on the error/variety forum.

I stopped at several banks during a business trip, but alas no halves. Most of them only had 1 or 2 copper nickels at best, nevermind any silvers. I was in TX. Glad I don't live there since half searching is really slim there!!

Picked up ten 40% loose at a bank (that I'm not even a member of!) They insist that I come more often, because they have a high turnover of unusual coins/currency. I hope those 'unusual' coins are something worthwhile!

Another bank had 6 rolls, and I thought I only had $40, but then I found another $20 hiding in my wallet! I thought that could've been a stroke of fate... but in the end all I got was skunked (and shortchanged a coin in one of the rolls!)
