This is crazy. On Wednesday, I needed a silva fix, so I stopped by my dealer and bought 3 Morgans ($45), and a roll of WL/F/K 90% halves, ($130). I decided to stop in at a branch of bank where I've scored some solid rolls. Teller says, "I have $220 rolls in vault". Ok, I'll take 'em. 4 rolls were different wraps, and "they just came in". SCORE! I figured the 18 rolls were dumped clad, they were, but the first odd-wrapped roll held 19 silver and one clad, roll 2 more than half silver, and the third, half silver. Also scored 1 90 Ken and 11 Ikes, which I sold to a friend for $15. The rolls held 2 Walkers, a Ben, 90 Kens, and 35 or so 40's.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors... Roll hunting since '77 Dirt fishing since '72

It's been a decent couple of weeks - in addition to four '76-S silver proofs and a 1970, I scored this at a local bank, mixed in a batch of about $10 in junk halves... A 1954-S Washington-Carver half!

Searched 2 FED boxes yesterday and found 1 1964, 3 40%, 9 various NIFC's and 1 1980 S proof. Hopefully, next week will be more productive.

My two boxes of Fed rolls produced zero silver. I filled some holes in my Dansco with some BU's though, so it was okay.
I identified two coins from the $1,000.00 batch that were, without a doubt, FROM MY PREVIOUS BATCH ! One half was burnt with a burned swell on the lower left portrait of Kennedy....the other had red fingernail polish that was all worn, except for a couple distinct spots.....the ear and the eye. So.....these were the EXACT COINS FROM BEFORE. Now, the lady at the bank confirmed my findings when I brought them in to dump. She asked if I found anything a couple different times in the conversation. She said....."I'm not surprised, because you're just recycling the same halves". SO MUCH FOR THE IDEAS I HAD ON "FEDERAL RESERVE" ROLLS BEING A BETTER MIXTURE FROM A LARGER AREA !.......They're not at all...in fact now, I'm thinking of going down to a bank that I know gets their coins from "Brinks" ....and opening up an account there, and then trying Brinks for awhile. I've never got to search Brinks halves before.....they've always been Fed. Resv. rolls.
