Silver is out there. KEEP SEARCHING!
To my friends who are nervous about going to banks you are not a customer of, the worst thing that can happen is they tell you no. I have found %90 of my silver from other banks. %95 of the time they will be glad to give them to you because they hate counting them every night in the vault. So you are actually doing them a disservice by not asking. SHAME ON YOU!

Nice work, Hybes!
How much of that is from box searching (if any) and how much is from CWR/teller trays?
My totals today: $180 in CWR and about $15 loose:
1 - 1976-S silver (This is 40%, correct?) 1 - 1967

P.S. I agree Hybes that banks other than your own are often the best sources. I have rarely been turned down because I was not a customer.

Walked into a bank today and asked for any halves they may have. Teller says there is one and hands me a beautifully toned 1964P Kennedy. This bank is weird. I walked in there before and she had only two, both Ben Franklins. I am just waiting for the day that whomever is bringing these in brings in a roll (I checked - the have none in the vault).
I also second BNA and Hybes. Maybe one bank in ten or fifteen tells me they only sell to customers. Though, in my experience the tellers often clean out the good stuff and are only too happy to sell you the clad. Many are older (so they know what to look for). In addition, many will tell you if you talk to them a little bit that they keep the silver coins that come their way.

This is not "roll searching" exactly, but I went to a large flea market on Sunday. There was one booth that stretched about 40 feet and had a variety of items, mostly jewelry. At the end was a case with a few various coins, not well organized at all, like it was just there to take up the remaining space. I got someone's attention and asked the price of several uncirculated coin sets lying in the case. He quoted the prices from some magazine, incluidng $7 for the 1964 set. I said I'll take the $7 set and pushed it aside. He thought for a minute, looked troubled, and said "You know, I guess the silver in that set is worth more than that." I said that he could re-price it if he wanted, but he said he would stick by his quote. So I took home a uncirculated 1964 set in the original cello, with the 90% silver, half dollar, quarter, and dime, for less than the melt value of the half dollar alone. I usually don't buy coins, preferring to roll search. But I couldn't pass that one up.

$2 loose in halves from my dump bank - I almost didn't ask the teller because I haven't found a silver half in a about 6 months, but I'm glad I did because one of the 4 was '63 Franklin.

Several bank stops this morning.
$90 in CWR yielded 1 x 40%. $60 in CWR yielded nothing.
But then $60 in CWR yielded:
15 x 90% (including 12 Franklins) 13 x 40%

I went to pick up my pennies today and the teller happened to have $1,000 in halves. I picked up one of the boxes, and..... Welcome back to skunksville. Nothing, nada, zippo, zilch, nada. Grrrr......
