I think it's been more than a year since I've posted on this thread. But I finally got myself a scanner & thought I'd share a few of my JFK finds from last year. I'm getting antsy to search some more halfs. Won't be happy unless I do so real soon ! This is a bunch of 40%ers I found in a REAL NICE $1000 batch early last year. Also found few 90% JFK's & 2 Frankins in the same bunch:

BTW, In reference to my previous post - that was the best day I've ever had in roll searching to date. I'd say I have my work cut out for me to top that one. Here's a 74D DDO that I also found sometime last year. I was pretty happy to find this one as it represents another first for me = first DDO ever : Here's the close-up of the DD variation in the word "TRUST". Especially in the "UST" : I'm glad I finally got the image posting thing down. Makes things so much more interesting when we can share images of our finds .

I wish you well on your 2 boxes morganman88. Let us know how it turns out. Halves may be my favorite denomination for roll searching. Seems I find something interesting in nearly every box. Be it proofs, NIFC's, silver, errors or whatever else I've come accross since I started a couple years ago. Here's a collar clash example I found awhile back. It's also damaged a bit on the obverse making it worth barely (if anything) more than face value. Sitll an interesting find:

After a 2 week break from roll searching, I strolled into the bank I order boxes from. As I was dealing with this problematic teller the manager walked up and informed me that she had gone ahead and ordered me a bunch(6 to be exact) of boxes when I didn't show up that one week. ^_^
Box #1 - Skunk, not even a NIFC Box #2 - 1 40%, 2 NIFC's Box #3 - AU 76, AU 73, 1 NIFC, and 2 40%
I'm just glad I didn't get skunked entirely again

What's NIFC? Numismaticaly Interesting Found Coin? Nearly Inverted Fur Collar? I hate acronyms, why can't people just spell out the words for those of us who don't know what you're talking about.

Some nice finds folks! Thinking I'm doing another road trip soon. Small town banks is the way to go. Will start some Fed boxes within the next month or so again. Happy hunting!

I picked up another 3 boxes today. So far I've only cracked one open and I was pleased to find a franklin staring up at me in the first roll. That was my only good find though.
What sucks is that 2 of the boxes had opened when the teller lifted it, and apparently one roll got left behind in their vault. I just called and they claimed to not have it. What a bummer.
