4 box total today : 12

5 @ 90%, a 1939P Walker, 1952P, 1954P,1963P Franklins and a 1963P Proof Franklin (Pics Below)

7 @ 40%

*Wasn't sure about the proof Franklin as the obverse is not that mirrored like etc, until I looked closer at the eagle on the reverse and confirmed the high relief etc.

Went hunting today in a more rural area. Got $368 in loose and customer wrapped. But, only 3 40% Kennedys. I had numerous tellers tell me they pull out the silver when it comes in. About ready to give up on cwr's - it is time consuming with little reward.

Chuckster - jealous on the 63 proof and the 39 Walking Liberty. Thanks for the attaboy Andrew.

Traveling for work and visited several banks after business was complete. $640 in CWR yielded 20 x 40%. Also 54 Ikes. No 90%, however.

Yup, you don't find that on no business strike. Very nice. We caught a 1960 proof about a year ago, so I know the feeling.

Did 4 boxes last night, 2 "flats" and 2 "squares." Got 16 junk 40s out of the flats; laid an egg on the squares.

Why doesn't this happen to me while I am alone?

I was out with my 4-year old boy today and we stopped by a bank. He was charming the tellers. When I asked for halves, the teller said she had a few, and then tossed two dimes on the counter and said, "I have two silver dimes, too, if you want them." Another teller also volunteered her tray halves, which yielded two 40% coins. Not a bad trip. Two silver dimes without even having to search. Maybe I need to stop going alone.

That experience made me wonder: do any of you ever just go in and ask "Do you have any silver coins?" I doubt it would work often, but who knows?

I tried my luck with searching half dollars for the first time a few days ago. I bought $100 and it was well worth it. I got three 40% silver, a 1933 Australian "One Penny", and a 1902 Barber. The Barber is in good condition at best but still really cool to add to my collection and not bad for only 10 rolls searched.

Chuckster, the high-relief eagle looks very nice. I found a few Franklin proofes myself.

You know..Bnacoin; I think thats true at some banks because I have gone in and they ask me if I want the silver in their trays or any wheat cents which they call "old coins".
