also, since these are working out so well, does anyone think it'd be a bad idea to ask them to order like 8-10 boxes? do you think that'd kind of be over the top etiquette-wise? or?

do you know what the fee was? that's interesting. so I may raise some alarms if I ask for more...

yeah that's weird man. well you know, on the other hand, the banks do have to pay a fee for the delivery of coin, so maybe the 6 were just enough that it would've cost them more?

who knows, but it does seem like the whole situation is a little touchy--as far as being entirely open with tellers and banks--and I don't quite understand why.

I picked up my order of 10 boxes today. The guy was grinning while I shucked over $5000 for them. I asked him if he wuld still feel good if I bumped my order to $25000 worth? He groaned.

5 of the boxes (all the boxes I get are also string and son) were opened and 2 had some hand rolled rolls and the first box I opened was short $2.50 from those had rolls... The bank guy will make it right so no biggie, but I think someone was raiding rolls with silver on the face coins. Just my suspicion. Anyway the totals for the first 7 boxes are as follows:
Box 1 - 1 NIFC
Box 2 - 1 '64
Box 3 - 1 '64, 1 standing liberty, 21 40%ers
Box 4 - 1 NIFC, 1 '64, 1 Franklin, 2 40%
Box 5 - 1 NIFC, 4 40%
Box 6 - 3 NIFC, 1 40%
Box 7 - 1 NIFC

not too bad a haul especially box 3. 2 rolls had 5 silver in them and a couple more had 3-4. That was my first really good box of halves.

Too pooped to sort now so 3 more boxes to sort tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a pretty bid dump day. I will spread over 3 or 4 branches of my dump bank. Also ordered 4 boxes for wednesday and 10 more boxes for monday... 'Prolly will take a break after xmas on the coin thing, unless I get into a string of REALLY good boxes...

-How often should I drop at the same location? (I do about $200-300 into the auto coin sorter)

well americanmafia, it looks like I'm just on a roll, bc string and sons has always given me good finds. it's totally inexplicable.

The best way to post them when the forums limit file sizes is to post them to a photo hosting website, then link your post to the hosting website.

Most everyone uses Photobucket (www.photobucket.com). Just go there an follow the instructions to register (it's free) and then find the "upload" button, select the image files from your computer, and when the upload is done, you can name the file whatever you like. After it's saved, there will be a drop down menu under each photo that lets you select which format to use for posting the image to another site. Select the "forums" option, right click on the address, then select "copy" from your computer. Then come back here and "paste" the code into your post. Viola! The image will be linked to photobucket and appear here on the forum in your post. You can link multiple images into the same post---just copy and paste each image address with a line break in between.

This sounds like a lot of trouble and confusing, but it really isn't after you play around with it and understand how it works.-----
