Hey guys, I havent posted in a while but I had a cool find over Christmas that I thought I would share. Well my mom was christmas shopping and there is a bank branch inside the mall she was at so I asked her to swing by and pick me up some halves if they had them. She gets a flat tire that day and needs me to pick her up, so I do, and she gives me one roll of halves from the inside the mall branch and ten from another branch, she says the one roll "looks old." My girlfriend opens it for me since I'm driving and she says "is a bell on the back good?" I'm like heck yeah! Well that roll find was my last post (you can find it a few pages back). Anyways, it turns out that there were 4 more "old rolls" from the inside the mall branch that my mom kept from me and gave to me as a christmas present...awesome! Totals for all 5 rolls: 91 Franklins 9 1964 Kennedys I have had some amazing luck over the past year, and I am in no way trying to brag, but I thought it was a cool story that some of you would enjoy. And for the doubters I dont think my parents would blow $1000 on coins for christmas because 1) I am 21 and 2) We are a middle class family and dont have the money to do that. Nice finds everyone! Especially andrew and deltron...you guys amaze me with these boxes! My experiences with boxes have been terrible, I've only gone through 3 but all I got was a clad proof! I like cwr's. I know I'm kind of rambling here but I just want to thank all of you for all your insights and stories since I have been a member here, I love this website! Pics:

Excellent find, jrh2108! Are there a lot of duplicates in the Franklin half dollars, or do you have a good start for a collection?

Had little time on Friday morning to go hit a few banks with my 12 y.o. son while visiting my in-laws for the Christmas weekend. We hit the first bank shortly after opening at 8 AM and finished up right before 1:00 as most were closing up at noon.
2nd bank we get to has $850...which made me note that I started the day with too little cash (only $500) Said I'll take $500 until she walks out with a sealed canvas bag...I was like...do you have an ATM? So pulled out my daily limit of $300 and took $800.
The first $5-600 was nothing but clad...but then we got to the silver vein. Pulled 20 40% out of the bottom half. We ended up picking up several more, going through a total of about $1500 for the day, and finished with 25 40% halves, a 56-D Franklin, and a 1964-D Kennedy. And oh yeah...one bank says, we have some big dollars do you want those too? I say you betcha..."Please be Morgans, Please be Morgans..." and she comes out with an envelope of $18 Ikes. Nothing too exciting in there, but still not bad.

Got a Brinks box from Chase this morning. Got 1-1965 that looks like it was dipped in a stain. Oh well, it will melt just nicely when silver climbs higher. Also, got a few NIFC. Not as good as JRH2108's find, but better than a skunk box!

Snagged some good stuff in the last two days. Ironically, I found forty 40%'s... as well as four '64's and a '63-D Franklin. You know you're in the silver when you get old rolls stamped with long-dead bank names!
Also got about 100 Ikes, 49 Blue Seal $1's (just short of a strap! but heavily circulated)...
...and the oddest find in recent memory, a 1901 British penny (Victoria), along with three Toonies, which they inexplicably gave me for 50c each. Something about they came in as halves, they leave as halves... although they were from a reject bin of the counter, so that didn't make much sense. Still the oldest copper coin I've ever found!
