54 boxes in 3 weeks? WOW! That is a lot of coins.

I just went through my first box ever. There was no silver, proof or even NIFC. I looked every coin over for possible errors, of which there were none. There were 3 or 4 really ratty coins, and about the same number that appeared uncirculated.

All in all an enjoyable experience, as I love to look at the design of this coin. Seeing so many of them in great condition all at once is impressive to me. I plan to keep the most striking example from each box I get. One box at a time is fine for me right now.

Since the bank told me they ordered 2, I hope to turn these around for the cash to get after that other box tomorrow.

10 boxes last night:

This has to be the strangest 10 boxes I have ever gone through.
We normally find more 40's than anything, and a few odd ball things, some 90%'s and if we are very lucky a Benny or a Walker.

Last night's results are:
4 40's
1 proof
3 Barber's (1906,1909 & 1912)
10 - Walkers (1917, 1917D, 1919, 1920, 1921, 1928, 1934, 1938, 1942, 1945)

todd,

if you're new to collecting, you might want to pull up numismedia and look at the prices on some of those walkers.

in those dates (i can't remember mint marks) you really might have made a killing off that box.

90percenters,

Most of the boxes we opened last night were void of anything good. I think we pulled most of that we got out of 4 or 5 boxes last night. The wife keeps notes on each box we open. Could post, but I don't know if anyone cares.... :)
