JFK Half Dollar Roll Hunters: Silver, Proofs And Other Finds

Are these the cube or "square" as opposed to the "flat" boxes? At any rate, I've never seen halves wrapped in plastic, always paper-wrapped.

When I get back to the house tonight, I'll pst the last 3 weeks stats to show you what we have pulled out of the last 15k worth of boxes.

Not necessarily, you may just be in a bad cycle. Well, OK, 54 boxes in 3 weeks, a really bad cycle. To find out, try a box or two from a different branch, or, better yet, a few different branches. While you're there, see if you can get a bag off their counting machines, too. It doesn't hurt to ask. If they tell you you can't get it until the bag is full, ask them what the bag is short, at present, and whether they'll let you "top it off." Tell them you'll take the bag "unaudited," understanding these will always come out under the count due to the smaller-size and foreign coin that gets in there past the magnets. Even when we got these and they were mostly dumps, they were worth it for the foreign coin. I really hate to see a guy get clobbered this badly, though...

90, I hear ya! These great boxes and finds come straight out of the clear, blue sky, though! That's one of the things that's so neat, I find. Fate is just that unpredictable. It's totally illusory for anyone to think he or she can control it.

I bought my first half dollar box today. The 3rd roll had a 1964. Thinking the box would turn out decent after that. Well, 47 rolls later I still had 1 1964.
