Todd...where did you get your boxes? I might get 10 this week from BofA and I am a little nervous about doing it. I hate dumping and I definitely hate dumping when I find skunks!

I get my coins from a local bank. I usually get 5000 a week to go through from them and then dump at a different bank that I also have an account with. I hate dumping too.

Same way...I never dump at a bank I get halves from. The biggest reason I hate dumping is the machine will sometimes short me. One of the worst was when I was dumping about $1800 I got shorted $9. Doesn't seem like a lot but it was all skunk boxes!

I totally agree. I am about to open a 3rd account at a different bank only because my bank has started charging a fee. I don't like fees, but I like silver.

.10 a roll ($5 a box) I had been making that in silver easily, but lately, its slowed down. I have a friend who banks at the other place and does well enough, plus they don't charge.

$5 isn't bad...I have heard the bank's cost on boxes is around $8. Still, I wouldn't pay fees! I wouldn't care about paying and shortages if I was finding silver hand over fist. But I find a little here and there. Overall, I have done decently but not like our friend 90Percenters! BTW, silver is over $36 on the futures market.

Went to the local bank to buy my yearly ASE. While I was there I asked if they had any rolls of halves. The teller told me that they had 15 or so. I asked to buy them. Once the lady got the rolls from the back the first thing she told me it that they were all searched and pointed out the sharpie marks on the rolls. I noticed one roll that didn't have marks. I told her that I would buy that roll, she again stated to me that all of the rolls had been searched whether they were marked or not. I insisted on buying that one roll. And so I did. Once out to the car I opened the roll in my hand for a quick look. 1-64 2-67 and 3-68 all in that one roll. The largest single roll find I've even had. I was thrilled. I truely didn't expect to find anything.

Stopped by Wells Fargo today and asked what they had for halves. The teller said only $380 in rolls left and I said I'll take em. Get home and almost fainted. THREE, yes THREE 1987-P's and one 1964-D!! Unbelievable!!

Are the 1987 actually really worth anything?
