Frankin New Member United States 31 Posts	Posted 05/27/2011 3:59 pm a friend and I have been doing this for about 6 months..then I stopped about a month ago.. anyways we found some here or there. I had more luck with crws.. so today he gets his second 2 $500 boxes and the first box was a skunk.. and in the six month he has done this his best box was 13 silver.. 5 of the 13 were 90%s...so today on the second case he got 105 90%s.. and 2 40%s.. all the 105 were either bennys or walkers with the exception or 2 68s.. it was the best score I have seen.. make all the months of getting skunked ect worth it.. the funny thing was it was his birthday.. This was a BIG week for me, with little result. 4 Boxes of Halves, 1 40%, 5 NIFCs, and my very first ever 1982 partial FG. Seems even the 2002 + NIFCs are getting scarce here. So I got frustrated as the skunks are becoming the norm now and drove around until I came home with 6 Boxes of dimes. Guess what.....1 Rosy . I sure hope Silver isn't drying up. I escalated as far as I could go and I've been hit with a limit on the amount I can dump that makes dumping the coins completely too much work. God, they are a crappy bank. And, to the best of my knowledge there are none of the other banks with counters in the lobbies in STL -- maybe that's why they can be such jerks about it... I just hate that they promised me I could do it, then handcuffed me after I got the coin-searching bug. yeah well some people can be s. Countless times I've asked for coins the teller is too lazy to hand them over or only hands a small part of what they have, or completely refuses for some madeup reason. I get it...they don't see anything in it for them so they don't want to bother. Unless you really know people and sometimes even if you think you know them don't be surprised if they turn on you when its in their interests and they have the power. I have looked through 45,000 coins since the first of the year, and have found only 79 silvers, and more than half of those were 40's. Very nice score. Pretty dry for me.
