Halves have been slow going for me lately, but I did find a Stone Mountain Commemorative on the roll end of the last roll of a box. I was pretty excited (especially since there isn't any roller damage)!

Went by two more banks today. The first one had 8 or 10 loose halves. Two of them were 40%! Not bad for standing in line for a couple minutes. I think I'm starting to see a pattern in which banks have them and which don't.

delayed response to post several page ago: The "magic trick" half dollar you found is known as the "Scotch and Soda" trick in magic circles and can be found in magic stores by that name, normally around $30. Mine is a copper English large cent. You pawn a genuine large cent in the back pocket of the "mark" then show the Kennedy half with a quarter underneath the hollowed out portion and the English Penny face of the Kennedy reverse showing. Place them in the "mark's" hand with your hand face down to cover the move, slide the quarter out on the way and flip the penny over, mashing it together in the hand of the mark leaving a Kennedy and a quarter, have the mark put his/her hands behind their back and ask them to give you the coin they think is the half dollar, they will give you the kennedy, then state the magic words and ask to see the penny (it is the quarter). Ask where the penny is and when the can't say, say it is in their right or left back pocket. trick complete.

Maybe I'll try to learn to do it (albeit somewhat clumsily) eventually, but for now I think it will just be a cool thing to show some people. That commemorative coin is pretty awesome. I never thought I'd find a franklin and now I have 7, so who knows! Those types of finds are probably pretty awesome feeling.

I just finished my 6th box and 1 90 percent and 3 40 percent. First 1964 total so far 5 90s and 11 40s not bad for free silver.
