Nice try smoke ! I know my self which bank provide bags and can tell you that have nothing with brinks ! I dont gonna post again and again where People can get bags from because I did manytimes ! But for everybodyelse I tell right now banks that get coins wraped by brinks ll never get bags of halfs ! Trust me ! Never , brinks never ! Dont push smoke or your secret ll be no more secret {just kidding( no I'm not kidding)lol} but you are right about is almost impossible to find a silver vein in a brinks box because they get coins from the 2 biggest dumps BoA and tdbank ( all rolls searchers know that we use td coinarcade and BoA to dump full boxes who have a good relationship with the bank like my case and most of these who search many boxes a week )
I always give tips to everyone and manytimes got no answers to my questions so come on boys , you have to do your own research to find out or just read the entire tread and think about it ! Is not like the secret of the century ! If you are a experince roll searcher is right there for you !

Ricardo, I used Brinks solely as an example. It was the first company that came to mind. I could have said Wells Fargo instead. Or whatever particular company you want to say.

Today I went to the bank, Planned on getting a box of nickels, 100$ in dimes, and a box of pennies. They did not have the nickels, but told me they had 200 in halves so I decided to pass on the dimes and just get the 200$ in half dollars and 25$ in pennies. Good thing I did because there were 2 90% half dollars!
It has been odd and now I hope I dont jiinx myself, but to this point I have found 4 90% half dollars and only 2 40% half dollars, does it strike anyone else odd that I have found more 90% halves then 40% halves?

OK, so I've been trying to find a bank with halves in my area for about 3 weeks now. I wandered into a Bank of America, and lo and behold, they had some! I was able to pick up $90 in halves, which broke down as follows: (Mostly D marks, a handful of P, no S marks)

2000 - 2
1997 - 1
1996 - 8
1995 - 2
1994 - 2
90,89,85,83,82,80,70 - 1
1974 - 9
1973 - 2
1972 - 2
1971 - 3

1976 - a whopping 136, mostly uncirculated

And some silver!
1964 - 3
1962 - 1

Two questions for those in the know:

1)the 1982 has a variety listed, a 'no FG', which I assume is due to Die Deterioration. Does this coin have states of value? The 82 in my rolls has a barest hint of an FG, but no wear on the surrounding high point to indicate that it was a full FG that has been worn down. I'm guessing there is only value if there is absolutely no hint of an FG. Sorry, I don't have access to my camera right now.

2) Other than pulling it out of a proof set, is there any good way to determine if a coin is a proof versus a business strike, again, specifically looking at the Kennedy halves.

Why, oh why won't my banks act more like the coin shops that I want them to be?

Really didn't think I would be able to top the Obama Gold Halves from last week, but this week did it.
I opened a roll, saw a coin that stood out a bit, almost looked copper with no reeded edge, so I say hmmmm...this looks interesting...oh wait it's just a 1938 Canadian cent :(

Pretty sure they're worth like 47 cents each.

I am going to be making my first serious foray into roll searching tomorrow. Bandwagon woohoo!
My bank would not order just one box of halves, so I had to get two. They never carry halves in stock.
There better not be any Canadian pennies in those fat rolls.

The Obama halves are worth 50cents, last year they were worth a buck.
I found one too, they are hilarious.

good luck, and that icon is about how I felt when I realized it was a 1938 cent and not an 1838.
