Yes, 71 (especially 71D), 72, 73, 74, and 76 are extremely common. Probably 1/4th to 1/3rd of the coins I search are 71-76 range. The early 90s saw reasonably low mintages and 99 are low mintages for circulating coins. The 80s also have some lower mintage years, like 82 P&D.
I've been working on making a roll set for years now and still have 12 dates to go. Granted, I am trying to have these rolls be AU-BU level. The ones I'm having most trouble in AU-BU for my roll set are 78, 78D, 85P, 88P, 90P, and 90D. 78 and 78D are hard to find in any grade. The rest I only need 1-3 apiece.

1 silver, 1960 in the last box, but the real puzzler were the 11 2006 JFKs, from both Denver and Philly

Got 14 loose ones from my bank. It was after quite a bit of "social engineering". As she slammed em down on the counter (I could have likely gotten her first born male child easier than the halves) I could see the color of the obverse of one looked a little different from the others. Sort of more like a Platinum. Upon inspection it turned out to be a 1974! Well worth the fight!
In the post transaction conversation I learned that "all the tellers" save their halves for "one nice customer" that makes the rounds of the banks every other day. I told them to get used to me being the "nice customer" that comes on the days that this guy doesn't come! I don't know how much pushing is ethical, but I'm also a bank employee. But, I haven't troted that out yet.

I asked for rolled halves at a local bank and the teller looked at me like I had 2 heads, asked another teller who also looked at me like I still had 2 heads and then they asked a supervisor who just said "No". The original one then said something in fractured "English" that I couldn't understand, but I just left. I won't be using that branch again.
