Hey, I was supremely happy about the 87D, then the walkers pop up. The funny thing is it didnt hit me right away about the 38D. Something in the back of my head was saying this is special, but it didnt hit that switch like a 32D, or 14D or 09S VDB or a 16D would. I about fell out of my seat when Deb looked it up while I was still going through my box and my brain finally kicked in. LOL

Hit $8k in boxes today. Every one has been a skunk so far. I did pick up $120 in rolls a teller had. They were 'older' rolls and I was getting a little excited when she pulled them out. After all, I have had FAR better luck with random rolls from a teller.
All rolls were stamped:
The Second National Bank 63.188 July 29, 1980 Teller #14
I ended up only getting a '68 out of the bunch which is much better than being skunked. All were 1980 and earlier and in pretty nice condition. I don't think these has been opened since Teller #14 rolled them.

A lot of boxes to go through! How often will your bank get that many?

Yah it is, they will get as many as I want to order, however I'm thinkin about scaling back to 4 boxes a week just to fly under the radar so that the companies aren't sending me out dump boxes!

I don't know if the coin companies could keep track like that. I am surprised the banks will order so $amy though. I only order about 1 per month and they think its a pain!

The last few weeks here in NJ have been crazy since the hurricane. Told my bank not to order me anything until I asked again, and this was 2 weeks ago. Well to my surprise I walk in Thursday and the teller says..."oh your 2 boxes came in today." Now I know everything I ordered came in, but it's been a few weeks and said ok I'll take them. Good thing I did... 72 40%, 12 1964's and 1 Franklin. Pics to come later today. 2 Rolls had 4, couple rolls had 2, and the rest were pretty evenly spread across the 2 boxes.

Wow. Great finds! I hope the box I ordered will be half as good! The 2 banks I go to in NJ don't really seem to want to order but do. So I only order 1 from each every other month
