I have found two groups of around $100 in 40% face before. I am wondering if someone saved them bc of JFK being on them, then their kids took them to the bank... thinking only 64 and back was silver.

Wow is that 100 dollars or 200 dollars in 40% half's. That could be very much so, as to someone saving these over the years and then passing away giving them to there kids and winding up at the bank with out them knowing that they to have silver in them or just some older person just cashing them in when money is needed, I have seen this before like one time I went to a bank in a over 55 community and getting two hundred dollar in 2 dollar bill mint in the wrapper.

Way to go Norseman. Try back at the same bank again in a couple weeks. Lighting does strike twice in the same place some times.

Thanks for the advice mfhorn, that has crossed my mind like the time when I found them. I wanted to go back and ask the girl to check the back of the bank vault just in case she missed one or two rolls. I'll try back some time soon I was thinking of opening a account at this one.

It would have been $200 in total, but it was actually two groups of $100 and change.

I sold them back over the summer for about $700 I think. I used the money to make most of my Ben Franklin and Silver Eagle sets.

On Monday, I went over to see family in Daytona Beach (FL) and called up a Wachovia near my mom's house, asking for halves. The lady they had at least $70 worth, and I told her to hold them and others for me. I get there, and she starts slipping them underneath the plexiglass to me and two of the wrappers say this on them

My eyes were with a , my bodily functions almost let loose. I'm thinking, "This is too good to be true. They can't be 1964s in those rolls" because the other 5 rolls had black marks on them. So I get to my mom's house and start opening this and end up with

All of them are 64-Ds, all blazing white; it must have been two BU rolls, but they had the tell-tale green spotting on them. The 68-D in the picture was in a loose amount the bank also had. The teller at the bank also asked if I like "big dollar coins", I said yes and she handed me 7, and out of those 7 came a 1972 Type 2 (incuse islands and all).

Why I think they were two BU rolls is because these four coins where on the ends, and they were all arranged face up, so enjoy the toning!
