About 23 boxes without a single proof .
Good luck all !

I am up to about 15 boxes and have yet to find a proof (but I did find a Statue of Liberty commemorative half in my first box) so I am ok with the results so far.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. He ended up giving the bank $300 in Halfs, and in return, received $200 cash and $100 in the coins that had 2 guaranteed silvers. So ultimately he exchanged $300 for $300.

Ok. Good score then (and you owe him lunch )

For a minute there I thinking it was one of those spy movie moments where the good guy and the bad guy bump into each other in the airport and they both drop their breifcases which look identicle aka bags of coins) and the the good guy tries to snatch the bad guys breifcase with the plans in it.

Found this in 6 boxes today. The 1875 seated, 1908s barber, 1929s & 1936d walker's & franklin's were found in 2 of the boxes.
The balance was found in the other 4 boxes.
Good hunting to all.

I got $60 worth in machine rolls at a Sandy Springs Bank. The first roll produced a 1968 and the last roll produced a 1943 Walking Liberty!

That is amazing! Not only did you find a Barber, but a Seated Liberty! Once again, that is amazing!

Do Seated Liberty halves even sell as "junk silver" or will the coin sell for a premium over the spot price of silver, regardless of the coin's condition?

Here is a better scan of the Seated & Barber I found.
In the late seventies when silver exploded it was not uncommon to find these in junk silver, $1000.00 bags had loads of Barbers. Thats more than likely were these came from junk silver.
Well I got 4 more boxes today I'm going to dive into them.
Good hunting to all.
