4 boxes today
1 NIFC (2002D)
3 Proof (71,87,91)
That's it :(
One thing I did notice is someone in my area has gone beyond Sharpie marking coins for ID. I had a TON of bicentenials that were sand blasted to give them a matte finish. You could spot them a mile away in a roll even on edge as the edges look frosted.

So I think I've come to the conclusion that savvy collectors on this forum are ordering multiple boxes from multiple banks throughout the week. Could I get some advice on how to do this with about 1k working capital? I guess the only scenario I've come up with is find a bank that would deliver them on say Monday, search, roll them up,deposit, withdraw again, and go pick up the next box say on Thursday. Is that how everyone is doing it, or does anyone have any other suggestions/methods?

2 boxes tomorrow! Cant wait

Maybe I'm just crazy, but I reuse the rolls my halves come in... I just pick at the top of a roll, straighten the paper out, and pop the coins. Once I've searched them, I just drop them back in, fold the roll over, and voila. I feel like it takes the same amount of time, if not less, than using new rolls. Also, I save 40¢ a box that way...lol.

Interesting day in Roll Searching for me today.

Box #41

(1)1968

Box #42

Now this is where it gets interesting. In this $500 box, almost EVERY single half dollar had the same mark on it. I'm talking at least $350 out of the $500. Here are a few with the mark. Maybe one of you guys..lol

People who mark the actual coins are strictly hunting for profit, and can't be considered collectors in any sense of the word.

Just picked up 258.50 in halves yesterday, all customer wrapped from 5 different banks. Scored 8- 40%, 1 90%, 88S PF and 3 NIFC (09P, 09D). At one branch, they had just 5 and the teller is looking at them and all were 40% she said they sound different and was banging them on the desk! It looked for a minute she was going to keep them, but she handed them over.

2011 JFK roll searching
